The Pittsburgh Massacre: The Political Blame Game Must Stop

Since the horrible attack at the Tree of Life – Or L'Simcha Congregation, an ugly barrage of blame has begun, focused on President Trump and even against the Government of Israel.

It is legitimate and sometimes justified to blame President Trump for not expressing himself enough, or in a clear enough manner, against Antisemitism, xenophobia and violence, but there is no connection between Trump and the horrifying attack in the Pittsburgh synagogue, where 11 Jews were murdered.

Anyone who makes such a connection is acting from cynical motives and utilizing the blood of the victims for narrow political gain.

Unfortunately, Antisemitism is called 'the oldest hatred' for a reason. Don't make excuses for Nazis and anti-Semites.

Anti-Semites and xenophobes don't need and don't seek permission from politicians. They don't need "a wink and a nod" to express their hatred. They go full blast forward on their own.

To say that the horrendous attack in Pittsburgh took place because Trump moved the embassy to Jerusalem, and some did, is just as ridiculous as claiming that numerous terror attacks in France which cost Jewish lives, took place because the French government didn't move its embassy to Jerusalem.

Jew haters don't really care where embassies are located.

During the Obama presidency, hate crimes left victims. It wasn't because he never used the term "Islamic terrorism."

There will always be people who find excuses for terrorism and antisemitism. Don't listen to them.

Blame the haters! Blame the Nazis! Blame the terrorists! Blame the murderers!

Trump clearly has spoken out against violence and Antisemitism. Even if he should be more bold, Trump, unlike Obama and Hilary Clinton, for example, has never called rabid anti-Semites and white supremacists "my friend and mentor."

Hillary Clinton called former KKK member Robert Byrd "my friend and mentor."

Barack Obama called rabid anti-Semite Jeremiah Wright a "great man and my mentor."

Morton A. Klein, National President of the Zionist Organization of America, wrote this about Obama:

"President Obama attended Pastor Jeremiah Wright's anti-America, anti-Israel church for 20 years while calling Wright a "great man and my mentor." Obama attended radical Muslim racist Louis Farahkan's Million Man March in Washington "” but refused to attend the four million man march against radical Islamic terrorism in Paris. Obama's closest friends include Rashid Khalidi, Columbia professor, an extremist anti-Israel activist. There are pictures of President Obama having dinner with anti-Israel activists Professors Rashid Khalidi and Edward Said."

It's incredible that people who voted for Obama and Clinton, both stated that rabid anti-Semites are their friends and mentors, blame Trump for being in contact with anti-Semites and white supremacists.

Trump is the greatest friend of Israel and the Jewish people in the White House in decades; he kept his promise and those of his predecessors about Jerusalem, his daughter converted to Judaism, his son in law is Jewish, he has put Jews in senior positions in his administration.

Trump's policy gets Jews murdered? Really?

Obama released over 100 billion dollars(!) of frozen assets to the Iranian ayatollahs, funds that were used to murder Jews in Israel and throughout the world, funds that went towards purchasing weapons, manufacturing rockets, and supporting terror.

Elements from the extreme left such as Louis Farrakhan and Linda Sarsour are no less dangerous to the Jewish people than the white supremacists in the alt-right.

Decent people should criticize the extremists on both sides. We should not be separated by the haters. We should unite in the face of hate and fight it together.

The political blame game must stop.
