To all who have replied to Naomi Ragen and all who burn with the struggle's that Israel and U.S. face over terrorism.
At the first glimplse of the devastation of the 9-11 attack, I had determined that the only way to possibly stop centuries of future attacks would be to effectively and immediately close the U.S. borders to all Muslims. At best, this would have a real effect after 10 years. Since, it is a long term approach, it is not likely to be accepted by Politicians who by design, can only think 3-6 years out.
Fighting terrorism will require, as well very on-term thinking. Yes, current military response is called for. But what is the ong term solution that is getting no press from the lefties???? Our terrorist bombers have become what they are after years of schooling in countries that teach hatred and vilolence from the age of 5. Droping bombs does not represent a response to the dilemma of a life of training for terrorism. What are the world's democracies doing about the Muslim schools that teach and foment pure, illogical and unquestionable hatred for Israel and the U.S. The t4eachings are based upon lies and fallacies, but they are nevertheless very effective. When the U.S. stops providing aid to countries (Arab) that teach hatred and when the press become willing to truly publicize these outrageous lessons, then long term changes may begin.
No, appeasing the Arabs by letting their criminals out of jail isn't going to bring anyone peace. No, stopping the hunt for terrorists in a one sided cease-fire isn't going to stop bloodshed. The solutions are in the shifting of attitudes among the Arab world of trained and brainwashed haters. This is a long-term solution that requires a long-term approach. None of the road map to peace can achieve this ultimate goal. Hatred is the strongest motivator and the ARabs have been taught to hate very well and for very long. No 2,3 or 4 politicians will stop that level of hatred nor solve this problem. Starting to pay close attention to the teachings in the Muslim classroom will reveal just how much of a problem exists. Where's the Press on this one? Where's International this or that group?
Unclear???? Here's a parallel! Who had the strongest Olympic teams for years? Who started Olympic training at the earliest ages? Answer: Russia.
If you get this parallel, you will see the solution above as the only one!!!
